Ted gave Trump a great conservative basic 101 schooling on tariffs and trade wars (which DT would cause), government managed trade and the ultimate cost borne by the consumers. Milton Friedman would be apoplectic over such economic and global trade nonsense. This has always been the dominant sentiment on FR about taxing the consumer to fund uncompetitive companies.
No real economic actually believes tariffs caused the great depression. Mark Levin still uses that talking point because he's an idiot.
I don’t thinks so. Trump is correct, we own China. Where will they sell their stuff if we don’t buy it?
We don't have noncompetitive companies... we don't have any companies. China manipulates their currency, charges us a tax on imports and demands many products be made there if we want to sell them there. So, tell me. who is waging war and who is bending over and grabbing their ankles. So, stop with the Milton Friedman nonsense.
Plus anyone that actually believes Smoot Hawly caused the Great Depression is unqualified to be President. Either Ted believes that myth or he is spreading lies. Either way he's done.
