He lost his parents to a drunk driver, I had no idea, damn thats horrible. I disagree with Kasich on many issues but he doesn’t seem like a bad guy

OMG! That's just horrific :-(

Poor Kasich, I had no idea he lost his parents like that.

In a perfect world where we were all at peace and prosperous I would want Kasich as my president.

FreedBird told me about this, I had no idea either. I dont think anyone can accuse Kasich of not being smart, he is very bright, he knows what he is talking about, even when I disagree with him(He’s for Common Core, etc) I can disagree with him and still respect him for his accomplishments..just dang, losing both parents like that poor guy

Kasich is NOT a bad guy. He’s from McKees Rocks, PA. One of my kids goes to a small college in OH and Gov Kasich has spoken there and will be in that town again soon to give the “state of the state” speech. As it happened my son attended a speech he gave a couple years ago, sporting a Pittsburgh Pirates tee shirt. The Gov (jokingly called him “out” and made a point of teasing that he too was once a Bucco fan.). As the event ended, someone tapped him on the shoulder and he got to go met (and have a photo taken) w/Kasich. He told him thanks for being a good sport, and son said he seemed very genuine and nice.

Our “brush” w/fame!
