Trump University Hired Motivational Speakers and a Felon as Faculty
Daily Beast ^ | March 6, 2016 | Olivia Nuzzi

Posted on 03/10/2016 5:49:50 AM PST by reaganaut1

In 2008, James Harris was hired to be an instructor with Trump University, the online school launched by reality TV star and real estate mogul Donald Trump three years earlier. Harris was a motivational speaker from Pompton Plains, New Jersey, with slicked-back hair and a shit-eating grin. There was an easy, energetic way about him—like Billy Mays having just returned from a Hamptons vacation—and his lectures, which relied on his alleged real life success story, could be captivating.

According to seminar transcripts filed in one class-action lawsuit against Trump University and reviewed by The Daily Beast, Harris told students that at 19, he found himself homeless and was forced to seek shelter in the grimy New York City subway. But his life changed, he said, when he met a “nice gentleman” who taught him about the real estate business. In no time, he said, he “became one of the top 12 producing brokers” in Manhattan. He no longer slept among vermin, but in a gated community in Buford, Georgia, with his wife and two sons.

Well said. And don’t forget Ted’s dubious citizenship either. That will be a major point of Hillary’s surrogates on the campaign trail and in the media.

Ted Cruz is so not an insider, you’re right! Being part of the Bush administration, adding Jeb’s finance team, AND BROTHER, to his campaign, being a member of the HRSC, and sitting on all these committees:

Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation
Chairman, Subcommittee on Space, Science, and Competitiveness
Member, Subcommittee on Aviation Operations, Safety, and Security
Member, Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, Innovation, and the Internet
Member, Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, Insurance, and Data Security
Member, Subcommittee on Oceans, Atmosphere, Fisheries, and Coast Guard
Senate Committee on the Judiciary
Chairman, Subcommittee on Oversight, Agency Action, Federal Rights and Federal Courts
Member, Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest
Member, Subcommittee on the Constitution
Joint Economic Committee
Senate Committee on Armed Services
Member, Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities
Member, Subcommittee on SeaPower

WHAT A REBEL!

“Trump University Hired A Felon...”

Hillary Clinton IS a Felon.

“And HilLIARy put above top-secret classified emails on an unsecured server...

What are they more concerned about?”

You bring up a good point, if Cruz or more likely, another Republican candidate other than Trump were to criticize Hillary they will be cast as anti woman. In Trumps case, first of all, it is expected but he can easily wait for her to drag this bogus lawsuit to the front which then opens up his ability to respond to her legal issues...they will be on par and Trump will have her for lunch.

“A Cruz vs. Clinton election will be about conservatism vs. socialism. A country that has elected Obama twice may prefer socialism, but I’d like to have that debate. A Trump vs. Clinton election will be largely about Trump’s character and business dealings, including the lawsuits against him and his four business bankruptcies.”

I am sorry, but you are very naïve my friend. Cruz is incapable of moving a discussion his way. Hillary will brand him, move him in directions he had not planned for and he will lose. Trump is the only man who is tough enough and smart enough to absolutely crush her. And, he will.

“A Cruz vs. Clinton election will be a semantic snooze-fest between two lawyers where the goalposts stay the same, it’s obvious they’re both fat cat insiders . . .”

Cruz is a fat cat? This I did not know.

What is Cruz's net worth?

Anyone who doesn’t understand that Trump has the lowest ratings and support of all candidates including Sanders and has otherwise hit his support ceiling is delusional. He is being taken apart piece by piece for better or ill and the metrics are evincing his dismemberment. That’s fact. His candidacy doesn’t bode well for the general election.

“Anyone who doesn’t understand that Trump has the lowest ratings and support”

It’s an election that goes state by state, not a preference poll conducted by NBC.

Now tell us how Cruz is going to fare with these opponents, and what states that Obama won twice does he have a shot in hell of flipping seeing that he has lost virtually every primary in the south to Trump?

“How do motivational speakers and insights from the viewpoint of a felon worsen a person’s education? It’s better to have exposure to a full spectrum of ideas than to be indoctrinated by a staff with only one vision and no real-world experience.”

Its just that some students thought they should have gotten more for $35,000 tuition.

I continue to be surprised at the things Trump supporters are required to say.

Enough to borrow a cool million from the big banks for his Senate campaign, and enough for him to think that was worth hiding in the paperwork so people didn’t find out.

You really think Ted’s wife isn’t rolling in it? By the way, don’t tell Ted, but she needs some more donations. Anything. $5, $10, $20....

And net worth aside, he’s enough of an insider to secure over $100 million in Super PAC spending.

What is wrong with a felon?

We had one for a president.

Whose wife was also a felon, senator and secretary of state.

Shove it, Beast...oh, forgot.......

" conservatism vs. socialism "

You're living in the non-existent past. The country has moved on beyond that war. Nobody is listening to that canard anymore because everyone's become cynical about the term "conservative" after so much abuse by the people we have elected to follow through accordingly.

The Trump University focus shows exactly the low quality of the attacks on Trump. If this very miniscule part of all of his business dealings is the primary attack still it is the strangest form of desperation I’ve seen. A handful of students out of thousands being upset is normal and I’m sure that Trump didn’t spend all of his days hiring the teachers. He likely hired the core team and then left it to them to manage the operation and no matter if he had the truth is you will end up with some bad hires. The questions I have is whether the program reasonably taught the students what it professed to teach. If it did I don’t think those filing suits have a reasonable case. Trump has already won one court battle that confirms that indeed his Trump University courses did provide legitimate real estate education.

http://www.breitbart.com/california/2015/09/21/donald-trump-wins-legal-battle-in-university-case/

I’m familiar with the types that are filing lawsuits which of course even certified schools are attacked with. I attended a technical school and like most things some people used what they learned to better themselves and others did not. Today I make a six figure salary and some of those I went to school with work at Walmart. If you look online you can find a slew of complaints about the company from a minority of students who somehow seemed to think that the education alone would magically land them a career. While I sympathize with those who fail to succeed in leveraging their education into a career I can’t blame that on the school or program.

Even saying all that Trump University is peanuts in the grand scheme of things and not indicative of any great business failing. The core of Trump’s appeal is that he is the ONLY candidate with a proven business record. He took a multi-million $ company focused on low income housing and turned it into a multi-billion $ company with luxury properties around the world. Trump is also the only candidate that actually personally created jobs. Trump has created 34,000 based on the CNN/Money analysis.

That’s how you can tell this article is a hit piece by someone in government.

Just about everything a person does any more is a felony. Felonies are as common as sand and bird feathers. It no longer means anything because it’s been over used. It’s whatever the government says it is which could even include licking a booger off one’s lip in front of a camera.

The push is on to starve to death, anybody who is tagged with a felony. Literally...they can’t work and it’s a life sentence.

By that logic Trump is a liberal democrat ;-)

I just figured out what is going on with Trump. Remember the movie Trading Spaces where two rich guys made a $1 bet on how people will behave based on circumstances?

I think Trump made a bet with a fellow billionaire that he could win the GOP nomination while talking about his penis size, making his supporters take a loyalty pledge that makes them look like Nazis, supporting planned parenthood, giving money to the most likely democrat nominee, and calling his supporters uneducated. Looks like Trump is going to win that bet too!

That can only happen if YOU allow yourself to be controlled by slimy politicians. Trump’s supporters refuse to allow any more GOPe to control them. You want on that wagon, or do you want to continue to be controlled by lying slime?

It’s completely up to you.

If you want FREEDOM from more of the same, then you are going to have to make that decision for yourself because the GOPe isn’t going to give it to you, that’s for sure!
