We all know the elite are on the warpath against Donald Trump, with everyone from pundits, to major world leaders, to the Pope speaking out against him. Newt Gingrich recently said its because Trump isnt part of the secret societies and hasnt taken the initiation rites.
Regardless, Trump has received a groundswell of support from the average conservative American, winning state primaries left and right. Ohios primary is coming up on March 15, and its a big one because its a winner takes all state.
Well now its being alleged that Ohios GOP has intentionally set up a confusing ballot in a bid to try to make sure Donald Trump does not win.
The Dem ballot has one place for voters to mark their choice for president. Period.
The Republican ballot in Ohio this year apparently has two, leaving a lot more questions than answers about whether or not voters will understand how it works.
Take a look, (via the Conservative Treehouse):
Is the ballot intentionally confusing by design?
Given the previous discussions on State Party shenanigans, and the intent of state republican party leadership to hold complete influence over their delegates decision-making, many believe the answer is probably.
Look at that ballot. It definitely raises a lot of questions that arent answered on the ballot.
Do the majority of voters know the difference between Delegates-at-Large and District Delegates? Does a person need to choose their candidate twice, or are they only supposed to chose once? Which is right? What if they pick a different candidate in each box, do they cancel each other out? What if they pick someone in the first box and not the second, or vice versa?
Why the confusing GOP ballot, Ohio?

Bttt
Of course the GOP establishment is against him. He's not really a Republican much less one of them. Single Payer, Individual Mandate, Planned Parenthood Support, Higher Tax Rates, and LGBT special rights aren't exactly Republican positions. They hate Cruz too and he's never been anything but a Republican, just of the Libertarian TEA Party variety. We all want the Quislings defeated and replaced by men and women who will hog tie and gut the Democrats. Question is if Trump agrees with the Democrats on so many litmus test issues why do we expect him to not collude with them in office? He seems to reserve most of his venom for his "fellow" Republicans of whatever stripe.
same thing happened on the Louisiana ballot.
it also had to be double marked for candidate & also candidate’s delegate.
so trump won the popular vote, but ended up splitting the delegate count because of mis marked ballots, iirc.
“lists of names are not in alphabetical order, but two different random orders.”
I used to be in charge of elections in Alaska. It was code mandated that candidates’ names be in random order — I guess to prevent people from coming in and voting for the first name on the list, and not putting some thought into it. I don’t know if that’s the case in other states, but it was (maybe still is) law in Alaska.
I made it hell for the printer of the ballots!
Double listing... That’s a PROBLEM!
“Or are you saying Trump voters are dimmer than other Republican voters?”
Doesn’t Trump himself call them the ‘lowly educated’?
Just check Donald Trump twice. Easy-peasy.
The GOP-e forgets that conservatives are usually smarter than liberals. Or is Ohio a duplicitous “open primary” state?
You are voting for seperate set of delegates.
District delegates
Delegates at large
I’m assuming district are just that some district level
At Large would be statewide I’d think
I suppose if Lisa Murkowski can win a write-in campaign...
Looks like Kasich’s name appears twice too. So how is that picking on Trump?
Nailed it. Just pick Trump twice. (I would pick Cruz twice if I lived in Ohio. :-))
Yeah really!
All canidates will be affected equally. Unless you are claiming the Trump’s supporters can’t read. But that’s just mean.
I posted your link to Trump’s facebook page. Someone had already posted it.
The Ohio ballot is always this way. Breath and count to ten, Donald.
Uh.....ALL Presidential Candidates face the same ballot confusion.
If Trump supporters are more affected than the others, it’s an IQ problem.
Looks the same for everyone. Just to be sure, though, write his name in, too.
...is it not?
Trump loves the poorly educated voter.
Is this a new design or has it always been like this? Hence Ohio voters are used to seeing it.
Anyone from Ohio care to comment?
This is much ado about nothing.
They also put shiny objects in the voting booth to hypmotize the Trump supporters. Some stood staring at the objects for two hours, denying other heroic Trump voters the opportunity to use the booth. One Trump supporter was so mesmerized by the shiny things twirling and spinning that he got dizzy and fell out of the voting booth, rolled down a hill into a river, forgot he knew how to swim and drowned. Then he went home all wet and was sad and cant even remember if he forgot to vote for Trump! Damn elites!!
I don’t think this disadvantages Trump, it is just as confusing whoever you vote for (unless that happens to Huckabee who only appears under Delegates-at-Large and not under the 16th-District Delegates). But as the guy in the video makes clear - no one seems to know whether voters should mark one or both lists.
