It was supposed to be a chummy weekend with GOP lawmakers and billionaires. Instead, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) got into it with Apple CEO Tim Cook over his company's refusal to help the FBI hack into iPhones.
The exchange, which took place at the American Enterprise Institute's World Forum, left a number of attendees "a little uncomfortable about how hostile Cotton was," a source familiar with the back-and-forth told The Huffington Post on Monday....

Really need to smash this corrupt little oligarchy in DC
They also met to discuss “how to oust Trump” ... I thought that was the decision of the AMERICAN PEOPLE and not the RINO elite??
If it were secret, how come Huffington Post is blabbing....?
Senators should never debate Engineers from Silicon Valley.
They don’t like them and seldom respect their abilities.
Cotton needs to listen and stop talking.
Whatever people’s views of Cruz on the campaign trail, his positions on freedom and privacy are a model for the party. They need to follow Rand Paul’s lead like Cruz largely has and stop being big brother. It’s a huge opportunity to attract new voters. And it’s the right policy. Cruz sort of hedged his more libertarian views in a recent debate when everyone on stage agreed that Apple needed to give access, but by and large he and Paul have the superior viewpoints on these issues.
To Tim Cook?
Dang, it’s a shame when an Oligarch playdate gets ruined by things like this.
I also think if they are gathering to figure out how to oust Trump because “someone like him should not be in office”, then why the HELL aren’t they doing that for Hillary??? Or why didn’t why do that with Obama?? smh
Moles feeding friends at Huffington...NYT publisher was also in on this...He can’t report so Huff Po gets scoop!
Competition is a beautiful thing.
Reading more about the secret retreat is the concerning part. Politicians, Elon Musk the crony capitalist, the leaders of google, facebook, apple, the Dali Lama, etc ad nauseum.
Nothing good comes out of such secret meetings.
Cotton is on the wrong side of this argument.
Cotton, much as I like him, seems to have serious lapses in judgement. Like when he joined Hillary and Rubio, et al, in proposing a de facto war with Russia over a Syria no-fly zone.
because it is open sourced

Tom will win the CEOs back with one magic phrase: H1B Visa.
H-1B visas are like crack cocaine to these corporate whores.
Just theater...Tom Cotton is on the invite list....that’s all I need to know. It shows what he is, and who he’s working for.
They also met to discuss how to oust Trump ... I thought that was the decision of the AMERICAN PEOPLE and not the RINO elite??
Indeed, these devious elites DID meet, for THAT, as well....
