It was never really a Cruz surge as that implies he rose on his own merit. Cruz’s over performance was due to two things, one Rubio dropped like a rock and Cruz got those votes and two Dr. Carson dropped out and those mostly went to Cruz. Didn't The Donald tell us that when the other candidates drop, he will get a lot of their support/supporters. You Trumpettes need to align with your Master on these talking points.
