Early voting has already been going on for awhile. Early voting accounts for 20% of the vote and according to exit polls, Rubio has a large lead. Why would he get out?

Because if a week out he is only getting a few hundred folks showing up at rallies expecting 5000 he’s in free fall and will face a humiliating defeat that will end him politically.
If those reports are true and that’s what is happening on the ground he has to know its going to be bad.
