Dude, if Trump wins and starts a trade war, you’d best be ready to pay a lot more for items currently made overseas. Currency manipulation or not, goods made in the US are going to cost more. Now, one could argue that more Americans will have decent paying jobs and will be able to pay the higher prices. But you will pay more.

As for a trade war, think about how not only the Democrats but also most of the Republicans in Congress will be watching his every move. If he tries Obama-ish “pen and phone” methods they will oppose him and if he needs to get legislation passed, he’s got to work with them. An Imperial Trump is far less likely than the Imperical Obama has been because the Republican leadership folded and said they would not oppose Obama.

I pay more now, always have. I will not buy, nor have I ever, bought anything made in China. Personal decision. I end up buying thrift store on some things or going without. So for me, trade war, no problem.

I also don’t buy anything coming from Mexico. Makes it hard sometimes on produce but I do without during the winter and grow my own during the summer. Again, personal decision.

I don’t need anything bad enough to support those two countries.
