Trump is your 2nd choice, make him your 1st. It’s going to be a brokered convention or Trump, translation, GOP or Trump.

Absolutely. It is too bad people do not see the discretion going gone via the GOPe. Kasich will be supported where the GOPe believes he can win, Cruz where he can win, Trump is second and the other candidate, Cruz or Kasich third. The idea is to get to a brokered convention. If Cruz is that vehicle the GOPe says fine.

Is Cruz an inside-outer or an outside-inner?

Hard to say whether Cruz is and outside-inner or inside-outer. Could be he is just as opportunist. He was part of the Bush Administration, did a great Job as Texas Attorney General, and has a suspect Senate record.

He is either a willing participant with the GOPe effort for a brokered convention, someone who may believe he could be the nominee from a brokered convention (believing McConnell’s lies again or Ryan who co-wrote the WSJ article with Cruz supporting the TPA) or is simply a tool of the GOPe. In any case he will not be the nominee of the .republican party but the person who enables the GOPe to retain control of the party.

If Cruz is the person to allow the GOPe to retain control of the party he will be forever infamous.

Mississippi results should be similar to Alabama for Trump. We shall see in about 8 hours or so.

The sad part is that Trump makes GOPe look conservative.

You are right. We have one shot at this. If Trump loses, the GOPe will be safe for the foreseeable future, and this perfect storm won't appear again. Trump has the potential to unite disaffected Democrats, independents, people who have given up on the political process, and conservatives who have been outside-looking-in for a very long time. This coalition is necessary to upend the stranglehold that the establishment parties have on the political process. The only thing that Cruz can do is either get out of the way, or throw the establishment a life-line. If he doesn't get out of the way, I don't care what his position papers say, I don't care how great a debater he is, I don't care what stands he has taken in the past are -- he will become dirt in the eyes of those who realize that he destroyed the one chance we had to pull off a miracle and have a grass-roots driven, peaceful, political revolution.

The one Mississippi poll from Magellan Strategies released one week ago has Trump at 41 and Ted at 17. A 24 point lead. If Trump’s polls in the southern states are ‘amazingly accurate’ he should win Ms easily. He had 10,000 people at a rally in Madison last night.

But did you factor in overperformance/underperformance, and undecided? Apparently these factors nullify any and all polls these days.

I’ve thought for some time now that Kasich will be on the ticket with Trump.

Interesting, but would he lose the other half of the conservative base, the Cruz supporters.

That 20% undecided could also mean that Trump tops 50% and he takes all the delegates in Ms. New FL poll has Trump at 42 to Rubio’s 22. Ms is also an open Primary which Trump does better in.

Cruz getting unquestioned air time on CNN. Supposed to be a presser but he has literally rattled on for 10 minutes with no interruption.

CNN kissing his ass. Figure it out Cruz supporters. Cruz even praised Lindsey Graham and called him gracious.

Figure it out Cruz supporters. Don’t get played.

If all that happens, then maybe there’ll be a greater awareness of the problem of career politicians who appear to be per se corrupt which is at the core of all this establishment stuff and maybe a greater push for a constitutional amendment for term limits.

I didn’t used to support term limits but the bad side of taking away free choice of the voters is outweighed by the good of the regular ousting of the corrupt career political class in power in D.C. One way or the other, they need to go and stay gone. We need to infiltrate D.C. on a regular basis with REAL NON-POLITICAL-TYPE people who live in the REAL world and understand what’s REALLY going on in America.

And Cruz just said he appreciates Romney's support. Even if you believe that Cruz is a true conservative, you have to know that GOP support doesn't come without a price tag. A vote for Cruz is a vote for GOP.
