Bull. It's due to the fact that outsourcing IT functions overseas looks good on a corporation's bottom line.
So lets tax it and make companies strictly liable .
I have seen first hand the cost pressures.
And I know one the Abbott guys being let go.
It does UNTIL a VP meets the programmers. The first time an Indian programmer calls someone an “idiot”, the project manager will be on the hot seat.
Then the complaints about the language barrier kicks in.
And the rigid unwillingness to change things because the VP changed his mind. “That was not in the spec, we cannot change it”.
It looks good on the bottom line because of the tax structure, global trade and incentives.
Right. It looks good on their bottom lines because the tax structure and trade deals make it look good.
This is NOT a case of outsourcing overseas. Indians are flown in on H-1B visas and work in the USA, they are inshore replacements. Try to follow along.
Agree. And once one firm did it, they all had to follow suit. H1-b is one thing but this is the flip side of the coin ... if these companies want to get rid of expensive American staff and they can’t H1-b them, then they will outsource/offshore.
Same thing, Americans out of work, Americans training their replacements. Which is why they have a three month notice.
