Wait. Just a couple of days ago Rush “let the mask slip” and exposed he was a RINO establishment hack. Now he is a trusted source again?

I can’t keep up with the revisions of the enemies list for Trump supporters. Do you guys keep an updated list posted somewhere?

that is correct, but if he should NOT gain sufficient # of delegates it is perfectly fair, per the rules, to have a contested election with all that entails. It is not UNFAIR and it is not a denial of his rights in any way, for the election to be contested, should he fail to gain the proper # of delegates.

i doubt someone who helped McConnell get re-elected will pursue anything close to that.

**If the establishment were to deny Trump the spot in Cleveland and hand it to Rubio, would that be considered a ‘Brokeback’ Convention?**

Beck is a major problem for all of us. He is a large pilot fish sucking off of Cruz. Cruz will not throw Glenn under the bus. Because Glenn would turn on him. And that would be very ugly. Cruz would become the new Hitler for Beck. Beck is an anchor around our neck. At the convention he would make sure that he sucks all the oxygen out the room.

You people sound like the liberals who want to get rid of the Electoral College

Your logic of leaping to labelling something as liberal is totally nonsensical. It is no different than tossing out the 'racist' label whenever it suits you.

Here's a piece of knowledge for you: The Republican party changes the rules all the time - the Constitution doesn't change only its interpretation does. The Republican party changed the rules so that it takes eight states with a majority vote to get your name in nomination... and this was done solely to get to a brokered convention.

Trump could get there with the right number of delegates but not have eight states with a majority. Whatever the situation, believe me... Cruz will sellout his delegates to Romney, Ryan or whoever is not Trump. Believe it. A vote for Cruz at this point is a pure GOPe vote.

Yes, four years before the competition... but anyone beyond the age of four knows that it is wrong to change the rules after the game has begun.

I believe the GOPe will work to make sure that neither Cruz nor Trump has the requisite number of delegates as the convention begins. They will use whatever means they think will make that happen, legal or otherwise.

Romney will be the designated loser whose job will be to throw the game in 2016 as he did in 2012.

“. I don’t understand that. I have no idea exactly how delegates would vote on second and succeeding ballots.”

My point is, if Trump is over the top, there is nothing Cruz can do. At the convention, if they try to broker it and Trump already has enough delegates, it would make sense being anti-establishment for Cruz to throw in with Trump. No point in fighting it if the GOPe isn’t going with you anyway.

Thank you for the answer.

It would nice to have a landslide of voters from all parties elect Trump.

IMO, A good way to send a message to Hillary and the gope.

I know the Trump fanboys will be butt hurt, but if he can't win the nomination outright (because the majority of primary voters voted against him) then a majority of the delegates deciding on a another candidate isn't denying Trump something he won fair and square.

It can only happen if Trump can't win a majority of delegates in the primary. Trump winning 35% of the vote means 65% of the voters didn't want him.

My point is, if Trump is over the top, there is nothing Cruz can do.

If Trump is over 50%, there's nothing anyone can do. But that's clearly not what we're talking about when people complain about Trump getting "cheated".

At the convention, if they try to broker it and Trump already has enough delegates, it would make sense being anti-establishment for Cruz to throw in with Trump. No point in fighting it if the GOPe isn’t going with you anyway.

I'm just not getting this. There is no brokered convention if Trump has 50% +1 delegates. He wins on the first ballot. But at least as of right now, he's trending to come up with less than that. He'd go into the convention with the most delegates but short of a majority.

You know, I think Rush is generally a pretty sharp guy, but stating a fact like this and trying to reason with these people ain't gonna get it. That's what they want; they know that if you are trying to talk sense to them that you're not actively doing anything about it.

It's time to give Milt Romley a taste of his own medicine, along with anyone who can be shown to be cahoots with him, (for example, someone in congress who might have been working on the groundwork for this all along, or if there are any GOPe spoiler candidates now actively involved in the primary) and then let the campaign run its course.

Right. I still think Trump would win on succeeding ballots because I don’t think enough would break for Cruz, but you never know. But if Trump goes in with only 35-40% of the votes and can’t get enough to win on a later ballot, there’s no unfairness/illegitimacy to someone else being selected.

I'm a Trump supporter and I think Rush is doing the right thing: he's the best "unifier" we have in the media.

Hannity and Levin are pushing for Cruz.  Michael Savage is all in for Trump.  Rush has tried to maintain his unifier role and I respect him for that.

There are angry voices here on both the Cruz and Trump sides.  It goes both ways.  I remember quite a bit of Sarah Palin bashing a few weeks back.

Except in this case GOP-e is not sitting idly by letting the chips fall where they may. They are affirmatively trying to sabotage some of the candidates prior to the convention.

I really believe we don’t have much to worry about with GOPers Establishment trying a trick like that, after all, don’t we all know that they always cave when their backs to the wall?

When the crunch time decision comes around, they will start ‘realizing’ that a brokered convention is a really bad idea.
