The debates would best be served by not having an audience. They would not degenerate into "The Jerry Springer Show" and hurt the Republican brand.

Then have the remaining candidates sit around a table with a moderator to keep order. No more than that.

I agree.

I’ve mentioned before that 4 yrs. ago, I went to a GOP debate and we were not allowed to react to anything. I don’t know why they changed that, ... well, yes I do.

He really has to do any debate that the other candidates are in also. But he needs to learn how to turn the gotcha questions into opportunities to make his case and to slam the other candidates, or slam Hillary. (paging Chris Christie and Newt !)

He’s not a politician so he needs to learn that skill. When they hit him for hiring immigrants, he needs to say, “everything I did was completely legal, and I didn’t ask an American worker to train those immigrants to replace them. I want to review and rewrite ALL of our immigration visa regulations so immigrants aren’t STEALING JOBS FROM AMERICANS. What happened to the Disney employees (and many other Americans) was a shameful disgrace & it will NEVER happen on my watch.” And then go off on Cruz wanting to increase H1B visas by 500%, Rubio’s gang of 8 ... etc.

Calling his competitors names sounds like 3rd grade playground stuff and I don’t think it helps. If he calls Cruz a liar, back it up with an example (and there are so many). He can’t wear his feelings on his sleeve... hope we see a great debate and I think we will. Sessions and Christie can be a big help to him.

Well as Publius is busy I will offer up a recipe in honor of voting in Mississippi

Mississippi Crock Pot Roast

I have made this many times and it is an easy and OH WOW, THIS IS WONDERFUL kinda offering for dinner, potlucks or to make up and divide up into containers. SO easy and you put all in your crock pot, go on with your day & 5-8 hrs later (depending if you go low or high with cooking) you have a meal

INGREDIENTS

3.5-5 lb. chuck roast

I medium sweet onion

Fresh ground pepper

1 ranch dry packet 1 onion soup packet (or au jus packet)- or both!

1 stick butter (1/2 cup)

7-10 peperoncini peppers( I used 1/4 cup sliced banana peppers)

Directions

-In large crock pot put the layer of onions

-place the pot roast atop

-sprinkle evenly the packaged powders

-slice the stick of butter atop

-arrange the peppers atop

Cover and cook 8 hrs low or 4 hrs high

(can add carrots and potatoes half way through if you desire)

I as a boring vegetarian cook mine separately so I have something to eat. This meal goes over well with rice or mashed potatoes.

Understand the recipe started as a mistake (remember Ivory snow bath bars?) and caught on because the mistake was wonderful.
