I never caught the NASCAR bug and found it unpleasant to be there ..CROWDED, hot, dirt flying, L-O-N-G, parking/driving nightmare... Still enjoyed the cars and the drivers and teams. My cousin is an orthopedic surgeon in Charlotte area (Lake Norman) and has had many of the drivers/teams as his patients.. Gets invited to their social things. He really isn’t a big fan either but catches the spirit more than I did.
