Rush and Pirro were both right. But so is MNJohnnie.

Let’s talk openly shall we? Honestly, would most Trump supporters really MIND if Ted Cruz becomes the nominee?

My guess is no. Up here in New Hampshire, there were many of us in discussion who decided that although they supported Cruz, they went it a voted for Trump. Why? To get Jeb Bush out of the race (read to get the GOPe out of the race). This is a work in progress. I predicted Trump’s poll numbers would drop AFTER Jeb Bush got out.

Rubio will burn through all of his campaign cash in FL, and if he wants to remain a senator, he’ll need to make a decision soon on staying in the Presidential race.

This will lead to a 2-man race, where the only thing standing between Cruz and the nomination will be NY, IL, CA, challenges to his citizenship. After all, Cruz is the ONLY candidate raising lots cash from the grassroots.

My wish: If it comes down to Trump needing Cruz for the nomination: Promise Cruz Scalia’s seat on the SC for his delegates.

If Cruz needs Trump: Commit to closing southern border, Trump gets a prime-time speech at the convention, and endorse Trump for NY Governor next year (With J. Pirro as a running mate).

Just my $.02.

No, of course not. But the fact remains, Ted Cruz has ZERO chance of being elected President of The United States. As Limbaugh would say: Zip. Zero. Nada.

Rubio made the decision NOT to run for re-election for his Florida senate seat last year. He did NOT file papers to run for re-election and his seat is and OPEN seat. Some folks are posting that Dr. Carson, who is now a Florida resident, ought to run for it.

Whether you or anyone likes Rubio, he did make the decision to ‘go all out for the presidency’ rather than like some candidates in the past, run for either the presidency or vice-presidency and run for re-election as senator/congressman at the same time. I think that LBJ ran for the senate when he also ran for VP.

For flamers: I eliminated Rubio from consideration for my support early on. I”m a confirmed supporter of Harold Stassen for President.

My only concern is that the democrats would challenge eligibility AFTER CRUZ got the nomination. It needs to be settled law before the convention.

***

IF I believed that Cruz governed as the conservative that he presents himself as, I wouldn’t mind.

But more and more I’m getting worried that he’s just using conservatism as a mask for some kind of establishment agenda, and his eager acceptance of establishment assists makes me cringe.

So... depends on how cynical I am about Cruz at the moment.
