I would agree with you that a candidate is not responsible for his followers.
With that said, Trump disavowed DD the second that he was asked about it. He’s disavowed DD more than a dozen times since then.
Cruz has Beck on stage with him. Leading the charge for him. Accepting gifts from him. He’s publicly accepted the man’s endorsement.
Now I can agree that he didn’t realize what a nutjob Beck was, but now it’s pretty clear.
There are rather large distinctions.
Yes, Ted Cruz is 100% responsible for sustaining and appearing with lunatic, madman, nutcase, Glenn Beck. Donald has no responsiblity for David Duke because Trump never, ever, accepted his endorsement...which Duke claims was never even forthcoming, Nor does Trump prance around, unabated with David Duke at his side!!!
Read my lips, folks, Glenn Beck has publically endorsed Ted Cruz and, Ted Cruz has openly accepted said endorsement.
