Metaphor is a figure of speech which makes an implicit, implied or hidden comparison between two things that are unrelated but share some common characteristics. In other words, a resemblance of two contradictory or different objects is made based on a single or some common characteristics.

Historically speaking....from the 1700s, it was a popular thing. As you get into the early 1800s...it downsizes itself in nature. Lincoln wasn’t of a secret society....you could probably discount Grant as well. But by the late 1800s...I think half of the guys running for office fit that profile.

From this group today? Rubio? Cruz? Bush? Paul?
