Here's the story. KY state law prohibits a candidate from being on a ballot in more than one place. Rand is contending for his Senate seat in the May primary, so he persuaded the KY GOP to select the Presidential delegates at a caucus in March. Of course Rand had to suspend his campaign, but for the 1st time in a long time our KY votes will matter!
And another thing. Many KY GOPsters have no idea what's going on or where on Saturday so don't expect a Yuge turn out. As Steyn says the future belongs to those who show up.
