He is not sabotaging conservatives.....Nobody voting Cruz or Trump (though I do not think Trump is conservative just his supporters) is ever going to switch to Romney.
These people are voting against the GOPe and Romney is the epitomy of the GOPe.

Mitt has been appointed the Trump hit man. He will attack Trump and that will leave MarcoFoam Boy and Cruz free to pretend they have a chance.
The goal is a brokered convention, it has always been the goal.
Bush said he would lose the primary but win the election
And that he would get the nomination without the base.
This plan is now clearly in place.
The GOPe wants to have Bush as the nominee and Mitt must have been promised a reach around from Rubio.
