Yeah. Those “I swore and oath and it never expired” people are annoying. If it never expired, then they are still under the UCMJ. No thanks! My oath expired at EAOS! But I’m still an American and I fight for the homeland now on my own terms.
If a person want to remain true to an oath they made, so help them God, to “protect and defend the US Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same,” why should that annoy anyone?
I took that oath, and intend to remain true to it the rest of my life.
If someone tries to use “their” oath to bully me, or to force me to do things “their” way...that is a different matter.
My oath is between me and God. No one else.
