I suspect that Cruz insulting his fellow establishment members and being insulted back was just an act to fool us rubes. When push comes to shove, Cruz is solid GOPe and has been all along. Lindsey Graham came out yesterday and said they may have to unite behind Cruz to stop Trump. That tells me all I need to know about what side cruz is really on.
[ Cruz is solid GOPe and has been all along ]
NOT !!!
I would think that little Lindsey was being snarky.
Ohh good grief, Cruz is about as GOPe as Cher is conservative. None at all.
If Lindsey Graham was seriously backing Ted, he could of done it without saying how much he hated Cruz first.
It the GOPe honestly wanted a chance to defeat Trump, they are smart enough to know that means getting everyone out of Cruz's way, not this you get out here and you get out there approach. Patchwork is not going to work.
The GOPe downfall is their pride and hope that one of their darlings miraculously wins, and that is not Cruz (or Trump or course). Their options were to persuade Cruz to get out, that didn't quite go like they wanted, and it didn't help Cruz did better Tuesday than they expected and Rubio worse (like not taking 20% in Alabama which was the threshold of recieving any delegates).
Ben Carson not dropping out of the race I don't think was in their plans either. He now has a few delegates that might be very valuable if things remain tight.
Time is not in their favor, these elitist should of pressured Rubio to drop out before Tuesday. If Cruz could of been bought, you can bet they would of done it by now.
