I don’t think Rubio has imploded. He will if he loses Florida. He is still in the hunt based on what I have seen for delegates. I truly don’t think Trump did as well as he should have on Tuesday, again based on what I have seen for delegates.
I am thinking the idea is that Rubio will quiet his personal attacks on Trump and let others, like Romney, do his bidding for him against Trump.
I do find it odd and funny that one flip flopper, Romney, is attacking another flip flopper, Trump.
The Establishment was attacking Trump with EVERYTHING they got.
They tried to use the IRS. They accused Trump of Mob ties. They attacked a Real estate school, and called Trump a racist to everything under the Sun for the last 2 weeks.
At the very same time they praised Rubio as if he was the second coming of Christ. It was disgusting considering this guy’s only major accomplishment in the U.S. Senate was the Gang of Eight.
Oh and I remember at first hearing there is no way Trump would have to get to 250 Delegates to consider it a blow out, then it was raised to 265, then 285 and finally 300. Statistically no one has ever done that before until Tuesday. When everything was said and done ended up with 319 Delegates. He won 7 states and there was vote shaving too.

I think you’ve nailed it...The Super Tuesday results and other polling must have shown that Kid Rubio dropped like a rock when he went into his Trump comedy schtick...so, the GOPe told Rubio to stop the imitation routine and have now trotted out Almost-President Romney to pick up the attacks on the Donald...this shows that the GOPe is in a big pickle, but they will not go down quietly...
