Thanks Romney. I was less sure about Trump. Now I understand. The establishment wants to keep the big government that they built with the Democrats and the Democrats. Trump wants to compete.
The Republican Party is a profitable business. The rich donors are the major shareholders, the RNC is the board of directors, the politicians are the franchisees. Trump is leading a hostile takeover on the part of the small shareholders (us). They desperately don’t want to lose their control of the government cash cow.
