People who can’t afford it can enroll in expanded Medicaid/Medicare.

No one in this country will be left to die in the streets because they’re sick or can’t afford treatment.

Private health insurance can cover healthy people who can and should pay for their health care.

IOW if you choose not to buy health insurance because you are healthy and then you come down with a debilitating and expensive chronic illness, then you are not going to get insurance and eventually you will die in the streets?

Medicare is for people 65 and older. If you qualify age-wise then you're in regardless of income. Medicare was supposed to be expanded under Obamacare and about half the states refused to do so. What makes you think they'll change their minds this time around?
