Romney governed more as a liberal in MA than a conservative. When he became the nominee, he ran as a conservative. After he lost, the true Romney came back.
I fear this is the same thing we are seeing and going to see with Trump. I hope I’m wrong
It seems there is more division here over Trump than there was over Romney, though
