This is Irving Kristol's son?

How the gods have damned us!

As stated above, yes, I hope he (Trump) destroys the establishment, too.

My God, we need this man, and we need him now!

CA....

Yeah I guess elhombrelibre thinks we haven’t seen the anti-semite card played before and will be left speechless in the face of his brilliance.

Some wag once said that the definition of a racist was someone who was beating a Leftist in an argument. Substitute anti-semite for racist, elhombrelibre for Leftist, and it’s the same old smear.

I doubt that our little smear merchant has ever read any of the histories of the neoconservative movement written by the players themselves, he doesn’t seem particularly bright, but unfortunately for him they write about their roots in the Trotsky branch of NYC’s large Communist community. A community that was overwhelmingly Jewish.

But who knows, maybe they were anti-Semitic Jews using what elhombrelibre passes off as logic...

Poor old Dan Quayle was mocked as being dumb by the press, always unfairly.

But if there was one glaring example that proved that Quayle had bad judgement it was his choice of William Kristol as his chief of staff

The way this is all playing out we should be wondering if Quayle even had a “choice” of whether or not Kristol would be his COS.

I agree that the primary cycle is messed up and should be changed. That has nothing to do with the upcoming convention. I also agree that if Trump gets over 50% he should get the nomination. The question is.. What happens if he gets less than 50%? Do you force Cruz and Rubio's delegates to vote for him on the second ballot?

Do you think for one minute, if Trump was not in the race, Cruz would be? Cruz would be utterly trashed, he would be out of the race by now

You are wrong here. All of the exit polls are showing the biggest motivator is disappointment and frustration with the Republican party. Cruz has been banging this drum for a couple years now.

Watch this

If this isn't a complete take down of the inept Republican leadership, I don't know what is. Cruz shares the frustration. It just doesn't play well along side Trump's over the top "outsider" status. It's hard to "out-outsider" the orange guy with crazy hair sputtering out a string of insults and swear words every night on the news.

The GOPe has been angling for a brokered convention from the beginning. They wanted Trump to be the primary winner because he will be easier to demonize and take it away from. The time between March 15 and the convention, you are going to see so much come out about Trump that even die hard supporters like you will be relieved when they take the nomination away. It will be like the last months and weeks of the Bush presidency with scandal after scandal after negative story after negative story. Cruz on the other hand would have been impossible to take it away from. He is vetted. He has been through the gauntlet of both the Republicans AND the Democrats and survived.

Personally, I don't think they are going to give it to Bush. They are going to give it to Paul Ryan. His selection as SOTH was a trial balloon to see if he could be tolerated by conservatives. He passed the test.

DEMOCRAT Party; NOT DEMOCRATIC Party.
Words mean things people.
It was the DEMOCRAT party since 1860, why in 2015 did it just suddenly become the DEMOCRATIC party?
Because DEMOCRATIC sounds so much more egalitarian, inclusive, and populist, than just plain old DEMOCRAT party.
Check your political history; this is just a new verbal trick to manipulate a (sadly), all to ignorant public that lack any significant instruction or knowledge of the real differences between a real DEMOCRACY and a REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC.
A true democracy is really nothing more than MOB rule.
A REPUBLIC sends representatives (elected by all groups of the people) to speak and work for their interests, regardless of the size of their constituency.

I agree with him. Keep Trump under 50% and try to nominate someone else at the convention. Perfectly within the rules. If Trump has a hissy fit and looks out for himself instead of the country, then so be it. We will challenge Hillary in 4 years.

Oh look, a Rat shill just stripped naked.

You're on the wrong website, comrade.

If the GOPe pulls this $hit and denies Trump (or Cruz) the nomination through convention tricks, they will start a fire that will totally immolate the establishment.

Cochran's "victory" was Pyrrhic to the max.

"The neoconservatives made the same declaration in 1992 — they would bolt the party if Buchanan won. Party loyalty only applies when their guy wins — and then they demand it of everyone else."

-----

That's one of the things I find really annoying about this situation. For decades these guys have been offering up drivel like Bush I, Dole, McCain, Romney - telling us to be patient, but when the shoe is on the other foot, they show a heckuva lot more intolerance than conservatives ever have.

I have issues with Trump, but he's already done the country a service by exposing just how deep the rabbit hole goes here and just how rotten to the core our system has become. The Republicrat DEmublican UniParty has been a massive conspiracy to give Americans the delusion they had choices and were free citizens in a democracy. Turns out it's all just been kabuki theater for these guys and real choices are the last thing they want.

Funny how these guys never showed this kind of fire in their bellies against Obama, never.

What does that tell you?

Irving was actually a pretty decent sort in many ways, and the most genuine convert to conservatism of the neoconservatives. His spawn on the other hand is vile, calculating, scheming, self-serving... pure evil.
