Kristol Lays Out Strategy to Give White House to Hillary: Trump ‘Shouldn’t Win’
Breitbart ^ | 3/2/2016 | John Nolte

Posted on 03/02/2016 7:36:25 AM PST by lodi90

In order to defeat Donald Trump, The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol admits he is prepared to hand Hillary Clinton the Oval Office. On Wednesday’s “Morning Joe,” the Republican Establishment leader laid out his plot to deprive Trump of the 50% of delegates necessary to secure the nomination. From there, the idea is to go into a brokered convention and cut a kamikaze deal that awards enough delegates to an “acceptable” candidate (who will have won far fewer votes, states, and delegates than Trump).

The problem with the Establishment brokering a behind-closed-door deal that hands the nomination to a Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% , is that the backlash against the Republican Party is almost certain to hand Hillary Clinton the presidency.

If a bunch of rich, angry GOP elites rob Trump supporters of their victory, the blowback will result in so many voters staying home in November, Hillary wins. As NBC’s Chuck Todd pointed out last night, at this point the delegate math is such that the only way to stop Trump is through this scheme at the convention.

As you’ll see below, that outcome is preferable to Kristol, and by extension it is safe to assume that outcome is also fine with the rest of the Republican Establishment.

In fact, it would unelect every Republican in the nation.

Yep. The GOP is so arrogant they can’t see the nuclear bomb about to destroy them. One word from Mr. Trump after the GOP cheats him out of the nom and 60% the GOP base is GONE. Poof. Trump can just hit tweet on his keyboard and the cheating GOP would be gone. LOL. Good riddance.

Not me, I’m not voting Democrat, I will vote 3rd party, because clearly the GOP is as corrupt as the Democrats. As an long-time Republican, who has been voting GOP for nearly 50 years, I am used to voting for the far-better candidate who is not going to win, and I am not going to change now, although there have been times I have voted for the “lesser of two evils” because that candidate really was by far the lesser evil but lately it seems the Republican is every bit as evil as the Democrat. After Mississippi, how can we possibly support these people? They need to be gone, and only Trump is the one who has any chance whatsoever of destroying them. But he can’t if we don’t make sure that from every primary from now on, he gets 51% of the vote. Please, people, THINK! Give up Ted Cruz, give up Carson for the nonce, they are not old men, they have a future. If we let these people win, we have no future!

Do you think for one minute, if Trump was not in the race, Cruz would be? Cruz would be utterly trashed, he would be out of the race by now,

One of my reasons for voting Trump over Cruz in Tx. I love me some Ted Cruz and although he can handle some media assault I think Trump is a greater master at it and unfortunately in this turbulent, acidic culture it will be a very necessary talent for our candidate to win in November.

Exactly what I said (and partially the reason I said it).

Right. But my point was the GOP would run a “conservative” 3rd Party candidate and not a squish like Bloomberg who might take votes from Hillary.

That is because they are so delirious they are not seeing the bigger picture.

The GOP are drunk on power. And an endless supply of cute interns. They may age but the interns never do. And we’re threatening all that.

“The establishment will not take it away from Trump. They simply will nominate and then campaign against him in GE.”

I agree if Trump gets the nomination they will work against him. However, if he prevails in the general election, the establishment will be forced to deal with him or bolt the party. If he loses, we go back to status quo with the establishment running “safe” candidates every four years who lose.

The current immigration patterns and resulting demographic wave, with organized block voting, will ensure Democrat victories for decades under the current two party system. Even if conservatives were able to wrest control of the Republican Party from the big government enabling establishment a pure conservative party will not be able to secure a majority of the national vote when ethnic blocks comprise 30-40% of the population and half the people in the country pay no taxes and receive government checks. Splitting the vote three ways is the only way going forward for conservatives, and defenders of individual liberty, to wield political power.

The sooner the GOP is split the sooner a pure conservative party can be created and offer a real alternative to the leftist socialist democrats and the globalist big government Republicans.

Bill Kristol has ONE VOTE. Just like the rest of us - that must piss him off beyond words... I suggest he take his one vote and join the democrat party. He hates the idea of ‘the people’ having a say equal to the elites just as much as democrats hate it...

Problem is Romney has donor class multi millions, a network and willing cut outs like Senator Sasse to do the dirty work. It’s gong to be a battle every day to the election in November, IMO. These rats are never going to give up the ship.

***Anything other than freeing the citizenry from the shackles of taxation and regulation.***

There are way more of us than them. We should be freeing ourselves from their shackles. In fact, we are fools for putting up with it this long and fools for letting it continue.

Instead of focusing on one man/woman for President or a handful of dirty, thieving politicians we should be using the power given to us by our Creator and follow the Constitution and take OUR country back!

“They are not going to give up their gravy train without a fight!”

Yep. These guys get paid a LOT to be RNC talking point parrots. They know that if Trump or Cruz were to win, they’re finished. At best they’ll be bloggers longing for the good old days where they had the Republican base completely fooled and were milking the treasury for all its worth and then some.

These people are no different than a welfare recipient. Seriously, him, Rove, etc ... they’re all glorified welfare recipients. Their skills and work experience are totally useless in a sane and just world.

I think both Hillary and Trump represent a disaster for conservatism, but she’s not pretending she is a conservative.

Neo-con Washington cocktail party circuit elitist GOP puke refuses to endorse Trump if he is the nominee? Big surprise. Yawn.

Problem is Romney has donor class multi millions...

Romney lost last time with his 'donor millions' and he'll lose again if he runs... by a much larger margin.

Romney had our votes last time because the GOPe successfully played us for fools. That won't happen again. I will NEVER vote for a GOPe again.. and I'm not alone in that feeling.. I don't give a damn about the party of GOPe corrupt elites who rig the game for themselves and lie to the rest of us about what they'll do if we elect them...

The ONLY thing they do when we elect them is feather their own nests... and the nests of their friends an donors. I wish he and his friends well attempting to buy our votes with their lies and money. Cause it ain't gonna happen again.
