I've been telling friends this for the past few days:

The Republican elites made Trump. McConnell, Boehner, the Bush cartel, McCain, Ryan, their lackeys... they created a situation in which it was inevitable that Trump or someone like him would arise.

The Republican party crafted the weapon of its own demise.

The GOPe has no one to blame but itself. It's too late for them now.
