Game over! This was a rout, America. Winning seven states and the vast majority of delegates is a landslide. Donald Trump and the millions of his supporters have changed American politics and the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.
The nomination is within his grasp and if he does what he said he would do Tuesday night: "[I will] be a unifier!" he may be a very viable candidate against Hillary Clinton in the fall.
After his victories Tuesday night in multiple states and his second place finish in others , Trump is in an unstoppable position. Whether the junior senators from Texas and Florida choose to pursue him, it doesnt matter, the end is near.
Trump, who is an unconventional candidate, to say the least, has tapped into the anger and frustration across America and has mobilized voters to turn out in record numbers.
Love him or hate him, be inspired by him or be appalled by him, Trump has totally dominated a political cycle like no other politician Ive seen in decades.
I admit I was a total skeptic, like many others.
At first, I didnt think he would run.
Then I thought there was no way he could beat the all-star cast of elected officials running against him.
Then I underestimated his lack of substance and trite answers in the debates.
Then I was convinced the political establishment was going to spend millions and take him out. And like the Energizer bunny he just keeps going and winning!
Trump is getting stronger by the day and his supporters are locked in and not going away. And no one has mastered the media like this since Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.
What's ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters

[keep it up you are doing NOTHING but making sure that if by some chance your guy takes it you WILL get NO support from Trump supporters!!!! ]
So, you support Hillary if Cruz is the nominee? RIDICULOUS position for any conservative to take.
But the Gope is now a cornered, rabid animal, and now will do ANYTHING now that their game has been exposed, and their Tet Offensive the past 3 days against Trump has failed.
...
And they don’t have Walter Cronkite to declare victory for them.
I heard Rollins after the election last night and he was reasonable. I was surprised.
Thank you for posting Jim’s comment. It’s good to see him addressing this madness that’s really poisoning this forum. I suspect they’re acting as agents for the GOPe, who sound the same, with “gnashing of teeth” predictions of doom and despair if Trump wins. It’s almost comical.
“Little suprised Herman Cain has not endorsed Trump yet”
If not in so many words, it appears that he does. He did a great interview this morning and was very derogatory toward the GOPe in relation to Trump. Great interview! Not sure which station played it. (I flip among a few.)
Another "if". What's your definition of "rational"? What's your definition of "civility"? Is Trump's unprecedentedly obnoxious behavior a good example of "civility"?
NeverTrump.
MANY, MANY more Cruz supporters say they will NEVER vote Trump so what are you suggesting????
Ill be voting for Cruz in the General - one way or another.
Don’t worry. Soon he will be adding the RNC to his portfolio.
Excellent!
Do not give up hope many many people changed their voting party in MA. They can still do this in Florida, and other states!!! We will see!!!
Yeah, Cruzers enjoy paddling upstream! So much hatred and I’ll bet most of they were Sarah Palin fans. How the tide has changed.
Cruz won the ONLY closed primary and beat the polls badly. This can happen in next Tuesday’s elections as they are all closed (I think). No more liberal democrats crossing over to vote for Trump.
Next Tuesday should reveal a lot and let us know if we are stuck with Trump or if Cruz has a shot.
NeverTrump
It will be great that he’s a promoter because he will be promoting America.
Au contraire.
Theres more at stake here than your silly pride.
Typical. You don't know me... you don't have any knowledge. You assume too much. You're ignorant.
I KNOW what's at stake here.
I'm not the tool. I'm not the fool.
And it will all but guarantee he loses in the general election.
Cruz gets it—I’m being deadly serious—from being raised in an alcoholic family. In that dynamic there is one alpha-person, and reality is what that person says it is.
For example, if there is abuse and other unhealthy dynamics in the family, and the Person in Control says, ‘We are a healthy, normal and well adjusted family,’ the latter is the de facto reality. It’s opposite of the truth, but within that unit it’s the law—contradict it at very great personal risk.
This is how it is with Cruz. The fact that he says it, makes it so. If he says his campaign did nothing wrong in Iowa, then it did nothing wrong. If he says Trump is for single payer, Trump is for single payer.
It’s the tragic legacy of being raised in an alcoholic-dominated household. It’s bad enough for Cruz’ immediate family; that last thing we need is to have that mindset in the WH.
PS: this dynamic also explains why Heidi’s depression was treated via “prayer therapy.” That way, the family unit could keep the entire affair clear of outsiders. For this type of family to function, it must keep all its problems strictly to itself, and never let an objective, unbiased outsider see what’s really going on.
He has all but. Probably thinks as long as he doesn’t give it up, Greta will keep having him on to get the ‘big scoop’.
Trump got 49% in MA which did not surprise me.
I posted last week that I was in a local convenience store/DDs and everyone there was for Trump.(Except the Brazilian employees :-)-—)
