Trump Is Now Unstoppable. It's Game Over For Cruz, Rubio, Kasich And Carson
foxnews.com ^ | March 1 | Ed Rollins

Posted on 03/02/2016 4:17:32 AM PST by Helicondelta

Game over! This was a rout, America. Winning seven states and the vast majority of delegates is a landslide. Donald Trump and the millions of his supporters have changed American politics and the Republican Party for the foreseeable future.

The nomination is within his grasp and if he does what he said he would do Tuesday night: "[I will] be a unifier!" he may be a very viable candidate against Hillary Clinton in the fall.

After his victories Tuesday night in multiple states and his second place finish in others , Trump is in an unstoppable position. Whether the junior senators from Texas and Florida choose to pursue him, it doesn’t matter, the end is near.

Trump, who is an unconventional candidate, to say the least, has tapped into the anger and frustration across America and has mobilized voters to turn out in record numbers.

Love him or hate him, be inspired by him or be appalled by him, Trump has totally dominated a political cycle like no other politician I’ve seen in decades.

I admit I was a total skeptic, like many others.

At first, I didn’t think he would run.

Then I thought there was no way he could beat the all-star cast of elected officials running against him.

Then I underestimated his lack of substance and trite answers in the debates.

Then I was convinced the political establishment was going to spend millions and take him out. And like the Energizer bunny he just keeps going and winning!

Trump is getting stronger by the day and his supporters are locked in and not going away. And no one has mastered the media like this since Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.

What's ahead is a Republican Party that either becomes part of his movement or splinters

If you dig over at greenpapers, it’s
Trump 333 (46% of awarded)
Cruz 230 (32% of awarded)
Rubio 116 (16% of awarded)
Others 43 (6% of awarded)
Not called 6 (This is TX 20 and TN 9).
According to that TXSOS site, Cruz leads in TX20.
So it looks like 2 for Cruz and 1 for Trump there.
I can’t find any other TN results broken out by CD, so TN 9 is still up in the air.

So no, it’s not over yet.

I don’t trust them, they lied, they can not even stop Obama on ANYTHING. I would have had Ted as my number one choice if he actually did something, anything, in the senate.

That’s exactly where I am at. If Ted Cruz the man matched the Principled Conservative Myth, I’d be all in. Unfortunately, it doesn’t. I supported Cruz for many years before I realized I was being duped by a climbing careerist looking out for #1.

Right - because the last time we had a nominee to rally around against a horrible, dangerous, country hating, Dem incumbent, he refused – and correctly so. Romney was the antithesis of conservative values even though he was better than the alternative. Nothing's changed.

With the site trending towards becoming Trump Republic, I doubt he'll need to worry about kicking people out.

I am a Trump supporter, but must admit it is NOT game over. Closed primaries are fish in a barrel for the GOPe, and Trump will do FAR less well in them. In the next chunk of states, 3/4 of the primaries are closed. The GOPe will use the combo of Rubio and Cruz attacks, coupled with perhaps $100 million in SuperPAC attacks ads on Trump, to hurt enthusiasm of his voters, drive down turnout, and help their people. This is likely going all the way to the convention.

This may be of interest:

Dominionism teaches:

The Gospel of Salvation is achieved by setting up the “Kingdom of God” as a literal and physical kingdom to be “advanced” on Earth in the present age.

Some dominionists liken the New Testament Kingdom to the Old Testament Israel in ways that justify taking up the sword, or other methods of punitive judgment, to war against enemies of their kingdom.

Dominionists teach that men can be coerced or compelled to enter the kingdom.

They assign to the Church duties and rights that belong Scripturally only to Jesus Christ. This includes the esoteric belief that believers can “incarnate” Christ and function as His body on Earth to establish His kingdom rule.

An inordinate emphasis is placed on man’s efforts; the doctrine of the sovereignty of God is diminished.

Another non-answer. Why does this not surprise me?

Because you have picked the answer you want. The only answer that will justify your opinion. And you won't be happy until someone says it so you can say, "SEE, I TOLD YOU, I'M RIGHT".

Why don't you just say it ? Then you can assure yourself you are correct and quit trying to get people to say something they have no intention of saying.

You'll be happy, we'll be happy.

Last night ...

CLASSIC EXAMPLE of short attention span and lack of recall that is reminiscent of the devolved evening reality TV culture.

Trump is the presumptive nominee. The GOPe can lay down on the tracks and get run over OR they can board the train and begin listening to the voters who elected them.

“He won’t do that until after he is elected”

Even Cruz has promised us a wall, and he doesn’t even know how to build one.

You asked the question. You should answer it first.

Fact is Ted Cruz campaign in the U. S. Senate for and enabled the most lawless POTUS in history when he dishonestly campaigned for over a month for Obama’s TPA. That’s when I left the Cruz camp after many years and Trump would have to betray this county on the that level for me to withdraw my support.

So now you answer the question.

Cruz is only behind 100 delegates and "he should get out."

Think I hear some nervousness among the Trumpites. They want to win by default what it'd take many a battle yet to accomplish.

“All while under attack form every side, and looking dignified and presidential”

Yeah, this time go in with a swagger and a smirk, refuse to respond to attacks, and say you understand why they are attacking because you would too if you were a looser like them.

...for you to think that we’ll be better off with Hillary is beyond the pale."

Did YOU say that? Did I say that? What are you talking about?

I think it won't be much different with Hillary, not better, not worse. It will be very bad - in a slightly different way - THAT's what I'm saying.

I can't associate myself with either one of them.

Trump is going to have to fight harder against the GOP establishment than he will The Democrats at the end of the day, because they have the most to lose and they know it.

Exactamundo, FRiend. This is cold, dead hands stuff taking down the donor class. The rebellion is on. We are living historic times, IMO.

Hate to say it, but I have to agree with Rollins.

Traditional Reagan Conservatism, as it has existed since the day Reagan beat Carter, is electorally dead for the foreseeable future.

The new wave is Trump’s brand of right-leaning populism.

Same on the Dem side. The old DLC centrist stuff they adopted after McGovern is falling to a more aggressive European Socialist philosophy led by Bernie.

Remind me again why it’s bad to have a candidate that is exciting people who also wants to stop public funding for abortions, build a wall to protect against the influx of illegal immigrants, re-negotiate disastrous trade deal and stop currency manipulation and is self funding

I am overjoyed by the primary victories of both Ted Cruz & Marco Rubio. Those victories insure that these two idiots will stay active in a campaign that they are doomed to failure in....but, will provide a clear, unobstructed path for Donald J. Trump to win the GOP POTUS nomination, in short order, over the next two weeks!!! And...thanks to Ben Carson & John Kasich for also remainting active in this POTUS race!!! GO DONALD J. TRUMP!!!
