In my view, “everyone” (as you put it) are running interference for Trump, while Trump is running another level of interference for his buddy Hillary. That is why Marco, Kasich and the rest are still running and taking away votes from Cruz. Simple arithmetic tells me that only a third of Republican primary voters vote for Trump. And he still wins contests decisively. It’s a diabolically clever strategy and it works as intended.
Cruz was the first to announce his run and they had enough time to work out those little details...

I agree. But the establishment will never let little marco get out. He’s their boy, until he loses Florida, then their stuck with Trump and maybe Cruz as VP.
