Inner ring suburb here as well. Cruz won in our precinct (Cruz 31/ Rubio 10) ward and also in my friend’s (Cruz- 20/ Rubio 17). Trump was actually number 4, behind Carson. Kasich received 1 vote in each of our wards.
The precinct captain said we broke the record of attendees for this caucus site. It was really great to see so many YOUNG people at a Republican caucus . In fact the woman who spoke on behalf of Cruz was in her 20s.
I think young people in general, regardless of race or socio-economic class, see Hillary as a third term of Obama and know that means at least four more years of McJobs and ObamaCare penalties. That is why they support Sanders on the lib side and ANYONE on the Republican side.
