This is what Irving ISD is saying:
“Irving ISD argues that the Attorney General’s order “is inconsistent with previous rulings … and is simply contrary to the common law understanding,” but cites no examples or other cases to support the claim.”
I have no opinion as to the legal merits of the case. In general, I side with open records access.
That said, ny heart is strongly with the City of Irving and with Irving ISD. They’ve got a mess on their hands with that small but rabid muslim population.
I live nearby; been following it for years. Clock Boy is just the latest attempt to cause trouble.
