I never have before, and I did just check the record. You got me; as I haven't 'checked the record'.
Could you please show just WHERE; in the record; that this QUOTE from Trump is found?
I don't mind being corrected; when I am wrong; as I don't want to continue to spout inaccuracies.
This 'I could shoot somebody and they'd still love me' crap is really a demonstration of how much contempt Trump feels for his supporters.

Could you please show just WHERE; in the record; that this QUOTE from Trump is found? If you were reading carefully, you would have noted single quotes. My point was that I was not "continuing."
This is the video to which I am certain you refer. He's touting the loyalty of his supporters, but for the inference I took required more. He even talks about how "I love the poorly educated," as opposed to saying 'you don't need a great edcuation to be intelligent or to have common sense. You don't even need a gread education to be highly educated.' If he'd ever said something like that, I wouldn't have made the comment. Instead, he "loves" the poorly educated because of their particular loyalty to him. It's a condescending, 'the little people love me.' Deal with it. The man is a narcissistic psychopath.

Double standards, is the GOPe MO. LOL, that was pretty desperate. If you can't do better, I'll just have to be as habitually insulting as the Dupes for Donald. You wouldn't want to be one of THOSE.
Sheesh.

I recognize the bell curve when it is practiced... And I am loving every minute of the bell curvers getting exposed by Trump... It is quite delicious.

Double standards, is the GOPe MO. See? Isn't trading insults fun?
Not. I just gave you a stiff dose of your own bile.
I criticized Trump. Rather than disprove the allegation (which you apparently could not) you just attack the poster. Attack, attack, attack... that's the Trump MO, flinging insults. It's wrecked this campaigned and poisoned many an independent voter, but you apparently don't care. 'Just win baby.' For what? Socialized medicine? Making millions of illegal aliens into future Democrats? Taking a chainsaw to the First Amendment? Federal land use control? Just what is it about Trump that is so attractive, other than giving you license to vent your spleen?
Me, GOPe? After having deferred two million dollars and spent seventeen years of my life WAY beyond full time to restore Constitutional government, and watching Trump's supporters go wild for a would-be despot? The man has no concept for limited government, and a history that suggests a preference for its converse. Yet since you can't defend that, attack, attack, attack... blind, flailing, and devoid of content. Go for it. Vent that anger. Trump will see that you'll get it back, good and hard.

I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldnt lose any voters.
Dang! You're RIGHT!! Trump DID say that!!!
Selective editting works ONLY if the COMPLETE statement is not revealed.
And you know what else they say about my people? The polls! They say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldnt lose any voters. Its incredible.

I already checked that out. Here's reality: NOBODY but Trump used that metaphor. He invented it and then attributed it falsely to mythical pollsters. It's a fantasy. Trump deals in fantasy. He did it for a purpose, to amp up (falsely) the degree of adulation he enjoys.
Hence my point. This guy went to Warton. That's equivalent to Harvard or Stanford. He knows what he's saying for effect is insubstantial and sure as heck wouldn't make a decision based upon the kind of bluster he's offering. He sells fantasy. It's his stock and trade and has been for twenty years.

...folks have truncated what was actually said to make it seem a LOT more damning than it really was.
That, my FRiend; is taking a hyperbolic statement and making into something MUCH worse than a 'fantasy'.
He sells fantasy. It's his stock and trade and has been for twenty years.

“Complain about all the bad things but give no real solutions (other than build a wall and winning)”
If a person running for office were to give a clear, precise, method for solving individual problems we faced today, he (or she) could not be elected.
What would happen is that the opposition and the media (and in many cases both being the same) would pour over the details of the solution, cherry pick words and phrases, take them out of context, create straw men arguments, and to really mix metaphors, beat that candidate about their head and shoulders with their own words.
They would immediately be put on defensive and would most likely lose. At least they would have the warm and fuzzie feeling they had solutions to the problems.
All political campaigns are built on lies why would you expect anything else in American politics. There is certainly no ruling body that will force a candidate to honor their campaign promises. Certainly the voters seldom hold them accountable.

Posting tag lines as if they constituted the total substance of those campaigns is a false and misleading case for whether the they compare objectively with the bulk of Trump's unsubstantiated hyperbole lacking any specificity as to HOW he intends to accomplish his "promises."
That's a difference. We don't need full documents, just examples. For example, if he's going to empy Los Angeles of criminal illegals and drug gangs, just how does he propose to gain custody of them? SWAT teams? How many kids would die in that war? We haven't heard a word, NOTHING to give that promise any sense of reality.
Trump SAYS he engages in hyperbole and feeds fantasies as a negotiating tactic. Fantasy is no basis for electing a President.
