You’re confused and your rationale that other countries are basically socialist does’t fly. America is an EXCEPTIONAL nation built on the foundations of freedom - other countries have always followed our lead, not the other way around.

Yours is a Leftist, socialist argument. Our sovereignty is not threatened by the voluntary cooperation of free enterprise. If other countries want to screw themselves up, it certainly don’t mean we have to also. Your protectionist arguments do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to address the underlying core issues of our economy of which I have named some.

You protectionist folks never really get around to root cause analysis because you demonstrate a basic lack of understanding how the free market economy actually works. You may call yourself a “conservative”, I don’t know, but you demonstrate a lack of belief in and understanding of freedom.

Confused? I think you can let that go. Have you, by the way, ever noticed where things you buy are made?

“Yours is a Leftist, socialist argument.”

Leftist? I’m calling for the United States return to the
to the type of trade strategy that propelled this country to the greatest economic engine in world history. Was that Leftist?

“Our sovereignty is not threatened by the voluntary cooperation of free enterprise.”

“free enterprise”?

You just pulled that out of your ass. I in no way implied anything about the United States being threatened by free enterprise.

“Your protectionist arguments do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to address the underlying core issues of our economy of which I have named some.”

I never stated protectionism would solve all problems. First, we have to get some factories and production reestablished. We really don’t have much left to protect.

Every time I buy something that is made overseas, and read the stats of how many Americans are out of a job, and how many thousands of manufacturing plants have been moved outside our borders, and how we are importing millions of low skilled third worlders as a means for economic revitalization, then, yes, I think we are on the wrong track. In fact, I think these anti-protectionists are trying to destroy the country. They are doing a good job.

Also, you can shove your crap of how I don’t understand economics. I have studied it in college and afterward.
