By rhetoric, Reagan was for free trade. In the implementation of policies, he was strictly protectionists. That is why he was so successful.

Can you get it through your head? It is LABOR COSTS that is the reason we are losing our industry.

That why slavery was so much in demand for the previous thousands of years of human history.

Not just labor costs, a gazillion other rules, regulations - permits, EPA crap and on and on. In my poverty stricken county for instance, the corrupt county gov adds a yearly tax on all businesses of whatever they have - not just inventory that is for sale, but every single thing used in the business. I’ve seen so many start ups that last a few years and close up. The problem is not just the fedgov although that is the worst problem. A totally corrupt fedgov has a big trickle down effect of rot.

Can YOU get it through your head WHY labor costs are so high? THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!!!

- unconstitutional minimum wage (artificially forced increase in cost of doing business)

- taxes (more of the same)

- tonnage of unconstitutional, dead-end, useless regulations (useless increases in cost of doing business - feeding the useless bureaucratic monster)

- federal protection of unions (why Detroit went under)

- more where that came from - mostly unconstitutional...

Do you also get that while driving our economy into the ground, most of these federal acts are by definition acts of tyranny because they are unconstitutional acts? Again, government isn’t the solution, government is the problem.
