I like Rush, but I have to say, this is the lamest excuse for what happened that I could dream of.

What makes it worse is that he came out a couple of weeks ago pimping Rubio and Cruz.

To me, it's a tough call. What do you do when two influential Senators call? Blow them off? Hear them out?

Was Limbaugh wrong to attend the dinner? I don't think so. Was he wrong to agree to off the record? I assume that Limbaugh attended off the record conversations on the other side, too. Perhaps not at a posh restaurant, maybe on the golf course. We don't know what other confidences he's kept.

I never trust Democrats. Harry Reid weaponized trust, with all the deals he's reneged on after securing Republican votes. I'm not surprised that they used Limbaugh's trust against him just before Super Tuesday to try to dishearten and dispirit Republican resolve.
