Michael Bloomberg is planning a run for the U.S. presidency that would begin as early as next week.
A source with knowledge of company affairs at Bloomberg L.P., told Anadolu Agency that said senior officials at offices worldwide were clearing schedules for meetings to discuss a sudden change in the management structure at the company.
The source, who spoke to AA on condition of anonymity, was not authorized to discuss company matters on the record.
The multibillionaire owner of Bloomberg L.P. is preparing to hand over his responsibilities at the financial data and media company ahead of an announcement after Super Tuesday on March 1, a key date in the nomination process for the Republican and Democratic parties.
Bloomberg was planning to make his announcement on or after Super Tuesday, the source said.

point taken.
there’s still a whole general election campaign to go.
(that said...that cuts both ways. and the terror of the media will definitely turn out the left....and much of the GOPe for hilary....).
if hilary loses new york to Trump....it’s all over.
It’d hurt Hillary more than Trump.
Might as well add one more corrupt and incompetent to the list. And who cares? Just another big blowhard.
DNC preparing to throw Hillary under the jail. Obama’s final revenge.
Polls have shown that a Bloomberg run hurts the Dems, so I say bring it on!
This helps the Republican in the general. Bloomberg is a flaming lib.
Some conservative.. Supporting a gun grabbing nanny state liberal..smh. I knew Trump would expose many as hypocrites.
He running as a democrat?
Running as a democrat?
hahahah. Is this the GOPes way of getting Romney or Rubio on the ticket. Great, split the vote, he’ll get his share of New York which can only help Trump if he’s the nominee
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. GO TRUMP!!!
Bloomberg will self fund like Trump but Bloomberg’s got more cash.
He’ll test Trumps’ nerve to spend his fortune.
His announcement late Tuesday will monopolize all the media coverage and take all the momentum out Trumps win.

Good. He will draw voters away from Clinton.
the Republican gets to make the whole election about guns and illegal immigration if they’re smart. A referendum on the second amendment can’t lose
It does have to do with the candidates. Globalist Bloomberg doesn't think globalist Hillary can beat patriot Trump. To a plutocrat like Bloomberg nothing is more important than moving towards world government. Where the ego comes in is his delusion that he can take votes from both Trump and Hillary, when all he does is hurt Hillary, and maybe not even that much.
Hillary at least has "first woman president", Bill's support and the mainstream Democrat label going for her. What has Bloomberg got? Wall Street, soda bans and gun control. So he peels off 10 points from Hillary's vote, she takes 30% and Trump wins 47 states with 60% of the popular vote.
Great plan, Bloomie.
He always said he wouldn’t run if Hillary is running. Two possibilities: 1. He is just going to be on the ballot but only campaign if Hillary gets indicted, making him a ready to go alternative when she drops out. 2. He is planning to run to the right, saying he is a lifelong Republican, cynically going after GOP votes to split the GOP.
If you think his wealth is the main thing you don't understand Trump at all. Romney is rich but that didn't get 30,000 people to come and cheer him at rallies during the 2012 primaries. Trump is a blue collar candidate, not a plutocrat. He's running on working class issues - jobs, guns, immigration, fighting terror.
Bloomberg is his opposite on all the issues. Bloomberg will draw votes almost entirely from the tiny remnant of northeastern RINOs and liberal Democrats. He'll get zero evangelical votes, zero libertarian votes, zero Bernie supporter votes, and less than half of Hillary's votes.
Bloomberg v Clinton will be an establishment civil war.
No matter who loses, we win.
