My armchair is the latest F15SE(?) o Dassault Rafael or even a Russian choice is what hey need, No a pilot but a friend. Israel was purchasing the F-35 using "store credit" military aid from the U.S., which can only be spent on U.S. weapon platforms. That means just the F-15 Silent Eagle (or F-15E, F-16C, etc.) could be purchased. The Rafael would have to be purchased out of hard cash, something I don't think Israel wants to do.

The political trust deficit will shoot down any interest non-U.S. platforms. The Israelis were nearly “fully” French in their aircraft till ‘67, so, yes, the Rafale would be an intriguing possibility!
