Trump is the first candidate since Reagan to run on an America first platform. The definition of conservative has been so twisted that it really doesn’t mean the same as it did in the time of Reagan. Reagan got union endorsements, freely used tariffs and solidified Social Security - today, Reagan would have been branded a socialist in this forum. Today a conservative is supposed to thump the Bible, give lip service to budget cuts, be for open borders with cheap labor and lie about free trade while shipping jobs overseas. And that’s Ted Cruz the ‘true conservative of today’.

Do you agree with Sessions statements that Cruz was key to stopping the amnesty gang of 8 bill or is that a sham?
Sessions is free to endorse who he wants and I do think Sessions is conservative.
I don’t think Trump admires him for his conservatism. I think he admires him for agreeing with him being president.

That news came out several months ago ... sessions helped Trump draft his immigration platform , but it was quickly forgotten ...Sessions had Trump’s ear and I was expecting Sessions to go for Trump ...great news

I do not think so. Look at Cruz’s and wifey’s resumes. They are hard core GOPe power couple. I think he is the GOPe designated outsider.

That crew dismantled the Reagan revolution and turned the word ‘conservative’ inside out. Our freedom, security, prosperity and prospects have declined ever since. It’s strange that there’s no recent polling for Arkansas, which I think is a major State. Last poll listed on Real Clear Politics was on 2/4, with Cruz ahead and Carson still pulling in 11, which by now is likely around 5.
Define Conservatism as you presently understand it.
Trump may surprise Cruz in Texas but I still believe Cruz holds his home state. As for the remaining states Cruz will do will In Arkansas but struggle after those two. I do not see Rubio taking any state before March 8 in Minnesota.a week later he loses Florida and is toast.

He said the words, “I apologize”, but I wouldn’t let any kid of mine get away with only saying “sorry” in an attempt at avoiding repercussions for bad behavior.
A true apology admits the wrong done, and accepts/admits responsibility for harm done.
None of the aforementioned was heard.
