Very nice news for Trump.... I will still vote for Cruz in Ohio until he drops out. Two weeks I suppose. It's good to be loyal to the end but any delegates Cruz gets will go to Rubio...A vote for Cruz is a vote for Rubio, or a brokered convention...

“Not at all. Sessions realizes that Cruz will not get the nomination, and he is throwing his endorsement to the candidate who WILL get the nomination.”
So you’re claiming that Sessions has no principles, and that the only thing important to him is to grab hold of the coattails of a presumptive winner solely because Sessions’ needs to be seen hanging onto a winner?

We just need Mike Lee to endorse Trump and Cruz would be completely cucked!!

Oh, so the subject of the article is,
In major blow to Ted Cruz,. . . but you were thinking of, ummm, someone other than Cruz. Gotcha.
Maybe you should have made it clear you were changing the topic of the thread when you commented, otherwise that comment directly relates to Cruz, the subject of the article.

No. I’m saying that Sessions realizes that Trump is the more viable candidate among those who share at least some of his (Session’s) principles.

If Cruz gets out, Lee will endorse Rubio. He already campaigned for Rubio in South Carolina.
Unfortunately, the entire Utah congressional delegation is on Rubio’s campaign committee.

Then I misunderstood you. Thanks for the clarification!

Thank you sir/ma’am for having common sense vs. these sore loser Cruz supporters. If only they had your understanding.
To: skeeter
My feelings exactly. If he’s OK by Jeff, I’ll be more OK voting for DT if I have to in Nov.

Re: “This is the end of the Republican Party.”
Let me add another prediction.
Trump's nomination will mean the “financial” end of the Free Republic website, too.
This is a presidential election year.
But it's going to take more than two months just to reach the modest $88,000 first quarter fund raising goal.
That tells me that fewer and fewer Conservatives are showing up at Free Republic each week - probably because they are tired of being mocked and insulted by Trump supporters.

Dear Mister (please take that as an insult) sessions.
One strongly suspects that you would have been wise to have waited until Mister trump is pressured into releasing his tax filings.
Sincerely,
A once and former fan.

We shall see. In any case, Senator Sessions will have a very good working relationship with President Cruz.
I am sure he will in 2032.
