TULSA, Okla. Striking a more populist tone ahead of Super Tuesday, Ted Cruz delivered a revamped stump speech to a raucous Oklahoma rally Sunday.
The campaign, he said, is dedicated to all the working men and women with calluses on your hands.
This election is going to be about three key ideas: Jobs, freedom and security, he said.
He cast his differences on immigration with rival Marco Rubio as a question not only of values but of jobs, arguing the amnesty Rubio supported in the Gang of 8 plan would hurt Americans employment prospects.
As for Trump, he said, you dont get to abuse the immigration laws and pretend to be a champion of working men and women.
The rally at an expo hall on the state fairgrounds drew roughly 1,000 people.
Conservative talker Glenn Beck warmed up the crowd with a swipe at Donald Trump, who earlier Sunday had refused to repudiate an endorsement from David Duke, the longtime Ku Klux Klan leader and Louisiana politician.
Donald Trumps response this morning was Im not going to condemn anyone. I need to do my research I dont know what kind of research you need to do on the Klan. Its like, the Nazis and the Klan pretty easy, Beck said, after criticizing him for a lesser evil, being a builder who puts a lot of gold crap on everything.
Cruz and Rubio both condemned Trump through social media.

Senator Cruz -- Dump This Dumb S.O.B.!
Glenn Beck to Vote for Hillary if McCain is GOP Nominee
Glenn Beck - Why he would of voted for Hillary instead of John McCain
Glenn Beck: McCain would've been worse
Glenn Beck: I May have Voted for Hillary Clinton
Glenn Beck: 'I won't vote for Trump.' (Even if running against Hillary)
The Glenn Beck who photoshopped a “Tweet” to make it appear to be written by Trump, saying “I voted for Obama in 2012.” The Beck who then distributed this all over the twitterverse—until he got caught. The Beck who was not at that moment disavowed and repudiated and fired by Ted “The Face Of God” Cruz, who instead started bringing Beck along on every weekend campaign stop, I guess as a reward for carrying out Ted’s masterful dirty trick...? THAT Glenn Beck?
Cruz has imploded in ways I never thought possible. Linking himself to Beck was a Mistake—might have been better to denounce him like Duke. The flaws in Cruz have comeout—he IS a wacko bird.
