Trump has expressed admiration for the Chinese government's actions in Tiananmen Square. He mocked Gorbachev for making the error of not cracking down on dissent to protect his cronies' positions. He's also talked about changing our laws to make it easier for him to shut down political dissent. It's obvious to me where he's heading. I look forward to being proven wrong in the same way I look forward to winning the lottery. It would be great but it won't happen.
