If Tapper had been smart enough to ask if he condemned racism, prejudice, and white supremacy, then he would have had his answer.
But he had to press on about a nobody named David Duke, and Donald did the right thing in making no judgment until he had the facts.
David Duke is not widely known. Those who have heard about him and have done their homework on him are in the minority. In my view, people that spend their time engaged on the subject of David Duke, have too much time on their hands or poor judgment. He really is a nobody.
If Duke were a somebody, then all this would be cast in an entirely different light. But he is in fact, a nobody and giving a nobody attention is a waste of time and in the case of David Duke, a disservice to the public.
Duke does not deserve any attention unless he develops a significant following which is impossible because he’s garbage to start with. Most people do not spend time studying or following garbage.
“Mr. Trump painted a fairly dark picture of the Reform Party in his statement, noting the role of Mr. Buchanan, along with the roles of David Duke, a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan, and Lenora Fulani, the former standard-bearer of the New Alliance Party and an advocate of Marxist-Leninist politics.
“The Reform Party now includes a Klansman, Mr. Duke, a neo-Nazi, Mr. Buchanan, and a communist, Ms. Fulani,” he said in his statement. “This is not company I wish to keep.”

Hmm, he sure knew who he was in 2000.
