-- I doubt that Rubio dilutes Trump's support in Texas or that Cruz dilutes Trump's support in FL. --

What I meant to convey was that if Rubio dropped out of say, Texas, then Trump would get more of those votes than Cruz would. IOW, they agree that the anti-Trump effort has more success if BOTH of them are in the race. Neither pushes the other to get out.

I did see the Tapper post CNN debate interview as it went down the first time. Noticed Cruz anti-Trump being expressed in pro-Rubio terms.

-- Both of them are so ambitious politically that I could see either one of them using their delegates to broker a deal that would benefit them personally --

Anybody would do that. First though, they have to accumulate enough delegates to make a difference.

-- Remember these are first term senators who have the hubris to believe that they should be President despite a thin resume and lack of executive experience. It is reminiscent of Obama. --

I see a bigger theme. The old dogs are using the young and ambitious as "fronts." I've seen it done in business, in order to get some sort of "diversity" or other fluffed up value to succeed. Find some ambitious and manipulable idiot, pump them full of footballs, and elevate them into a VP or other position of power.

In the area of judges, the new way to pick them is "stealth," another form of hide the ball. The puppet masters aren't stupid, and the puppets are well rewarded.

Exactly. Congratulating one another on the break just to piss off Trump further. This was an orchestrated tag team attack with the Cabana boys taking on the street fighter from Queens. Trump more than held his own and will demonstrate that on Tuesday.

I think we need to keep in mind this media portrayal of a monolithic Hispanic or Black or Muslim community is myth.

EXCEPT:

2008: Fully 96 percent of black voters supported Obama and constituted 13 percent of the electorate, a 2-percentage-point rise in their national turnout. As in past years, black women turned out at a higher rate than black men.

2012 Black vote: Obama 93%, Romney 6%; 1% Others. A little bit better than McCain ,but still VERY monolithic...

The good news is there is no way Hillary will get the same numbers. If Trump wins the nomination, a lot more Blacks will vote for him than have voted for a Republican in the past many elections.

I remember one particular primary back in 2012, Virginia, where the Romney folks got Gingrich and Santorum (might be others) kept off the ballot because they either filed to late, or didn’t meet some arcane filing requirement...

So, my question to you and others, if Romney tries to run AFTER March 15, how can he be eligible ANYWHERE?

What I meant to convey was that if Rubio dropped out of say, Texas, then Trump would get more of those votes than Cruz would.

I don't accept that as a given. Both are Hispanic in a state that is heavily Hispanic. There are rumors that Rubio's wife called Cruz's wife and urged her to convince Ted to drop out in FL so that it becomes a two person race. Both Cruz and Rubio say that they want it to be a two man race between one of them and Trump.

Anybody would do that. First though, they have to accumulate enough delegates to make a difference.

True enough. Right now Trump has 82 delegates with the other four candidates in the race having 43. The winner-take-all phase starts on March 15. There are some big states out there that could shift the balance.

Find some ambitious and manipulable idiot, pump them full of footballs, and elevate them into a VP or other position of power.

We are not talking about the VP of a company. This is about the Presidency of the most powerful country in the world. Do the "old dogs" think they can control either one of them once they get the whiff of power and fame? They are playing a dangerous game.

How do you see Obama in that regard? A mastermind? Good leader? Builder of sound teams? All the power brokers need to do is put a weakling in, and then run the operation from a different level, not necessarily "through" the figurehead.

Necessary for the globalists to have a person in the role of US pres, who is not averse to the globalist agenda, and all that entails for the US. A fellow traveler.

Also good on Meet The Press & State Of The Union...it was only Chris Wallace who was a problem as he’s been previously.

The plan would be to file in those states that are still open and then have Romney accumulate enough delegates thru these remaining states that are winner take all so that the GOPe has enough delegates to go to a brokered convention. A long shot strategy that risks losing the election, but the stakes are so high for the GOPe that they will do anything to stop Trump.

Bombshell: Insider Leaks Koch Bros, Rubio Plan to Stop Trump Bombshell: Roger Stone reveals establishment using Mitt Romney as Plan B if Rubio fails!

First they’ll ramp up an enormous, negative campaign on TV against Trump and they’re going to hit this phony Trump University issue,” he continued. “They claim to have personal dirt on Trump – I doubt that – and they are also going to try and delve into his business affairs, but if Rubio fails to grab the Florida primary, then Rubio’s out and Mitt Romney’s in.”

“The plan is for Romney to file for the New Jersey, New York and California primaries in an all-out ditch effort to stop Donald Trump and you heard it here on Infowars.com.”

Additionally, Marco Rubio’s wife called Ted Cruz’s wife, Heidi, to desperately beg Cruz to exit the race and aid Rubio, but Heidi said no, Stone said.

“The power structure’s desperate, the Rubio and Cruz teams are going back and forth but they can’t agree as to who will be the candidate,” he added. “I still believe Mitt Romney is totally dressed up, already made up, waiting in the wings… to step in as the last, best hope of the ‘stop Trump’ movement, and frankly I think Trump will bulldoze him as well.”

You illustrate that well and it is the truth. And even more so, many of the sub-sub contractors have sub contractors under THEM.

Also, someone upthread mentioned that there are Mafia connections to some of Trump’s contractors in NYC.

I LOL at that! Like it could even be avoided? In New Yawk? Fuggadaboutit!!!

Somewhere in all those construction firms, demolishers, landscapers, grounds preparers, cement companies, steel and supply companies, etc., etc., you will find organized crime.

That doesn’t mean Trump went out and deliberately signed a contract with Joey Bagodonuts.

I think I figured out a way to say what is on my mind. The two of them togehther take more votes than either one of them alone could. The agreed goal is to minimize delegates to Trump. The not-agreed mechanism is which of them, alone, is better suited for that mission.

I see him as an ideologue who is pursuing his own self-interests. I don't see him as being manipulated by Valerie Jarret or anyone else. His life history tells us who he has associated with and what he believes. He has accomplished a lot in furthering the leftist agenda. The Dem party has been the biggest loser as it has lost control of Congress and hundreds of elected positions throughout the country. The Dem ranks have been decimated. Yet, Hillary is joined at the hip in supporting him and vowing to carry on his legacy.

Bottom line: I don't believe Obama is the Manchurian candidate. He needs no one to direct his actions.

I think what you wrote is accurate. Contracts I’ve written over the past few years include clauses that the supplier/contractor will ensure that everyone that works for them has a legal right to work in the US, they will use e-verify or whatever. However, it wasn’t that long ago that we never thought of using such language. Further, I haven’t seen many construction contractor agreements in a few years, but the ones I’ve see use a standard template and it’s a bit difficult to negotiate any clauses (though Trump certainly has more clout than I did).

Right. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Cruz and Rubio share the same immediate objective. Destroy Trump at all costs. Trump delenda est.

Everything is going very collegial on this thread. No one is attacking other posters, saying Trumpbots, Cruzbots, etc.

I’m not going to say anything about someone slamming a candidate, even Trump or Cruz. However, let’s not go after the supporters—that is—other FReepers, here.

So, Diogenesis NEVER said oily Cruz SUPPORTERS. That’s YOUR addition. And it invites a flame war.

Please don’t.
