Most importantly, they don’t have PROPERTY TAX PAYERS (regardless of whether they work or not). A landlord with a multi-family home (whether he lives there or not) would produce property tax revenue for a municipality; letting in Third Worlders, even if they are on Section 8 vouchers, would fulfill this goal - and that is exactly what is happening. Work isn’t even in the equation; whole urban economies are built on SNAP/welfare cash benefits/Section 8 vouchers.
