Good point!

Unlike you, I only catch bits and pieces of Rush radio, but I have noticed that it is rare nowadays that a “Rush said” headline lines up with what he actually did say!
I prefer to read the whole transcript, whenever some off the wall accusation is made.
Rush is a great political pundit and talented talk show host/entertainer.
I’ve always considered him a great discussion leader.
I do find it useful to triple check my own six, whenever I disagree with any clearly stated conclusions on specific topics he deigns to articulate.
I loved listening to Paul Harvey too, for different reasons.

Such a good post! The attention span for Americans becoming more and more used to fast-forwarding through everything is becoming virtually nil. Things like three-hour radio shows they just cannot do. They’ll tune into 15 minutes and think they’ve heard it all, without realizing they’ve actually heard very little of it.

Rush likes to drop points to be discussed later, keep you in suspense through the commercials, bring up a topic to be discussed after the top of the hour. His show is NOT meant for the set that fast-forwards through everything.

I think this will become a BIG problem for talk radio in the future.
