He’s not. Never was, he was just supposed to split the vote for Jeb! could win FL with only 15-20% of the vote. Now that Jeb! has failed, the GOPe is desperate and their only hope is to send Rubio out to keep stirring the pot, hoping he stumbles onto something that slows Trump down.
Everything the GOPe and C of C have worked for is going down in flames, Rubio is their last hope. And when he fails too, they are going to try to hijack the convention. That’s why it is essential Trump has won at least 8 states and has the delegates sewn up by then.
