It’s also the reason the medical lawsuits should be curtailed. Nothing supports the a shyster lawyer more than litigation that put money in their pockets at the mercy of the class action people who are hoping to make millions
I so agree HM. I worked in the healthcare industry some years ago and what the doctors have to pay for liability insurance has kept going up and up over the years to the point many say it’s not worth it and get out. The ambulance chase lawyers love it - they keep filling their pockets. I don’t love drug companies and agree with what Mr. T has been saying about them (one issue is that the US seems to have to pay all of the R&D for drugs, but other countries don’t - that’s one reason why folks order in drugs from Canada, etc. - much cheaper).

I’m not saying that a person or family shouldn’t have a right to sue and be compensated for malpractice, it has just gotten way out of hand.
I don’t know for a fact, but I’ve read that lawyers in a class action suit get about 33%, which means that each of the clients get peanuts.
