No it wasn't. Megan Kelly quoted his words back at him, he admitted at the time on the debate floor that they were accurate, but the vituperation against Megan Kelly commenced immediately. Trump characteristically exploited his Kool-Aid drinkers partisanship by tweeting immediately after the debate.
