It’s fine if he changed his mind in the aftermath given that a complete vacuum was left (and making the situation worse)...but in the debate he claimed he never said anything about it when he was obviously very passionate about it. Does this sort of thing really not bother anyone? And this is just one example. Or are we mentally ill, stupid, desperate, etc. for even being remotely concerned about this? Serious question...

Trump is a pathological liar who when his words are thrown in his face projects and accused the person of telling the truth about his record a liar.
A thread chock full of Sore Cruzermen. Trump is going to be your President you know, and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

we may not stop trump but we can tell the unvarnished truth about the pathologically lying malignant narcissist.
there is nothing you can do to stop it.
“there is nothing you can do to stop it”
I wouldn’t want to, lol. All that ranting and raving has high amusement value. Pointless, but amusing.
I responded that he was incorrect, has a character flaw, and that I didn't think it's that awful. That's not an excuse, it's pretty much telling it like it is, and adding an opinion about how bad or not bad it is.
If you choose to believe that it IS AWFUL, then we disagree, but I excused nothing ... or if you still think I did ... explain it, don't just say 'you excused it' with nothing to back up your accusation.
It's important to support the TRUTH, even if it's the GOPe position, too.
He believed he had not said that. I'm not saying 'He's not wrong', I'm saying 'he wasn't lying'
“Listen more carefully to Wpinâs post, and realize youâre tacitly defending the GOP establishment.
Wpin made a good point.”
Thank you, you get it. Some of those others actually prove what I am trying to say...
You said...
“It’s called “being honest.”
So are you arguing that Trump never said what he said about Libya?
Wow!
there is nothing you can do to stop it.”
True.
And those of us who oppose Trump do not support the GOPe. We are just as upset with what's going on in the country as much as the Trump supporters are.
But we don't let our anger with the GOPe blind us
No, I'm saying he remembers what his position once was on Libya. He's in construction. The number of details one must manage in a big job like he does is enormous. I am certain he has a very good memory.
But thanks for trying to exculpate him by positing that I was presuming some fantastic or unreasonable standard for rhetorical purposes. It shows that your dishonesty is approaching his. He seems to have that affect on his supporters. Given how he flakes daily on his positions (like he did on government land ownership in Nevada the other day), that's what it would take.
When he "forgets" what you remember of what he promised, you'll pay for that. Big.
True. Yet I have had A Freeper tell me that Cruz’s vote on the Corker Bill was heroic.
That is how deluded some of them truly are.
What are you trying to accomplish? Because I find you ridiculously tedious.
You have nailed it.
We see that one differently.
It's not a matter of "impossible"; it is a matter of Occam's Razor. Trump agreed with the goal of taking out Ghadaffi. Taking out Ghadaffi destabilized North Africa entirely. Destabilizing Libya is what armed Syria. It was stupid.
Just because you can dream up a scenario so unlikely as to be a twisted fantasy doesn't mean that people should buy it. It's your own desperate defense of the indefensible that begs reconciliation.
Hyperbole isn't an argument, it's just hyperbole. As such it deserves no answer, except maybe "take a Valium."
Then the simple answer is that YOU don't have one. Trump was for Libyan intervention on the same grounds as Hillary. Deal with it.
I already did - Hillary wanted the result to be chaos, Trump doesn't. Those aren't the same grounds. As for how to avoid it, there would be plenty of ways to insert or guide the placement of a stable new leader instead of just leaving a vacuum to be filled by the results of internal collapse, as was done, so your muddled wonderment as to any lack of alternative is truly ludicrous. Sorry you don't like my answer, but that's what it is, and its based on plain facts.
BTW, you need to switch to decaf.
I skip most of them, too. I spend much less time reading FR.
